Ride a Bike

So you are having a hard time finding recreational adult sports that you can join. Sure, your kids play and that is fun to go watch, but unfortunately, that is of no help to your physical health, simply your mental. It is understandable that you might not feel comfortable playing a new sport with a bunch of people that you don’t know, so let’s go with a different physical activity.

Most family homes in Dallas have at least one bicycle or two. Why not take one of those bikes to the bike shop, get it tuned up and hop on it for 30 minutes a day. It might not seem like much, but riding a bicycle is a great way to get some cardio in. Another added benefit is that you don’t only use your legs, you use your arms and abs too for balance. Riding a bicycle can be a lot more enjoyable than going for a run because it you travel much farther with much less effort. That being said, you might have to go a little farther than what you might travel when running, but who cares?

Do yourself a favor, stay active. If you can’t do it by playing sports, and you don’t like going out for runs in your neighborhood, get on your bike. You will love it, your body will love it, and it is a cheap and practical way of staying healthy.
