Shopping Frenzy
As Thanksgiving draws ever closer, so too does the official start of Christmas season. Not only does this bring the beautiful lights and decorations that we all enjoy during this time of the year, but we also welcome the advent of Christmas shopping. For most people, Black Friday is considered the day that shopping season kicks into full gear. However, Thanksgiving truly kicks off a full weekend packed full of shopping opportunities that extend before and after Black Friday. For some, the Black Friday sales and traditions begin immediately following their Thanksgiving feast on Thursday night. Others may find themselves camped out overnight awaiting the best deals in stores come Friday morning. Many North Texans prefer to shop local small businesses to the big box stores, and will save their pennies to spend in local shops on Small Business Saturday. Still others will avoid the crowds altogether by waiting through the weekend, and filling their online shopping carts in anticipation of Cyber Monday! Whether you are a hard-core Black Friday shopper, or someone who prefers to participate in Buy Nothing Day on Friday the 24th, remember to keep your health in mind. Stay hydrated, remember to take time to rest and eat, and stay clear of the large or pushy crowds to prevent injury. Happy Shopping!
