Byron Nelson
This week is the famous AT&T Byron Nelson. The tournament takes place at the TPC Four Seasons Resort Dallas at Las Colinas in Irving. As a great charity cause, many people attend the tournament annually to watch great players play in celebration of the late Byron Nelson. If you plan on attending the tournament once, or on multiple days throughout the week, we have a few suggestions for you consider as North Texas weather can sometimes be unpredictable.
1. Check the weather. Though it seems that our weather can be very unpredictable, it can never hurt to check the local weather channel before heading out to watch some golf. This week has actually had some scattered showers along with humid, sunny days, so there are multiple ways you can prepare for the bipolar weather.
2. Bring a rain jacket. It seems that it is supposed to rain every other day throughout this week, so why not show up prepared by bringing a rain jacket or umbrella with you to stay dry?
3. Bring sunscreen. Though it may be rainy, it is always smart to bring sunscreen whenever you are spending long periods of time outdoors as the hot Texas sun can even beat down on your skin on cloudy days. UV rays can actually be stronger on cloudy days versus sunny days, so it is always smart to be prepared to put on some sunscreen!
4. Drink lots of water! With high humidity and rising temperatures, it is absolutely essential that you drink plenty of fluids if you plan on attending the tournament this week. Staying hydrated is a must when spending extended periods of time outdoors.
Enjoy some golf this week and always stay healthy!
