Pilar M. Bescos M.D.
Dr. Pilar Bescos is a board certified Family Medicine physician. She attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and also received a degree from the University of Malaga, Spain which allows her to practice internationally. Dr. Bescos is fluent in Spanish. She completed her residency @ University of Texas Medical Center in Houston where she served as chief resident for 2 consecutive years. Dr. Bescos sees a wide range of patients which include children, adolescents, adult men and women.
In her practice, Dr. Bescos sees a variety of chronic issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. She also manages a wide range of acute illnesses which include asthma, respiratory infections and musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Bescos has a strong focus into preventive medicine and wellness where she aims to conduct yearly physicals for her patients at which time she enjoys empowering them through education and dialogue to take better care of themselves. She believes that informed patients take a more active role in their healthcare.
